I loved all of this. This theme of jumbled and messiness wasn’t something I heard much growing up, but I always felt ” it” and I feel it even more now as a mother. You put this all into words so well. ❤️
So many good bits here, Elizabeth. Thanks for the reminder that the Prince of Peace has the power to bring peace in the middle of all this mess. Really love the essay style of choosing one word and writing little vignettes that tie back to it - might have to try it myself soon! And wow A+ for the Jump5 reference! :p
Thank you, Sarah!! It was my first time trying this writing format although I've been wanting to. And yes, I've been breaking out Jump5 for toddler dance parties ;)

Thank you so much, Ashley! <3
Thank you for digging a little deeper than we tend to do during advent. That first Christmas was far more complicated (and messy!) than simple.
Yes, and amen! And that is the grace it offers to us -- what a gift!
We are in a world that falls apart more every day, yet babies are still being born and light is still here. <---- so good. thanks for the reminder.
It bears in mind the verse about "where sin abounds, still grace abounds further still," and that is the truth I cling to!
